<image:caption>Kimberly Brewer My name is Kimberly Brewer and I have been a PTA at Elite since 2013. I have always been fascinated by how the human works and moves. My first job out of high school was as a PT tech at Elite. After graduating as a PTA from CPCC, I worked in Skilled Nursing, Rehab, Aquatic therapy and Outpatient. My focus has always been to help people to return to their normal life as much and as quickly as possible. When not at work I am homeschooling my young children, exercising (cycling and yoga) or reading. I enjoy most all foods and love to socialize with friends. While I did not attend NCSU I am a Wolfpack fan and of course a Panthers fan.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Kelly Boss I always had the inspiration to work in healthcare from my mom, who is a nurse, but did not know what exactly I wanted to do. Everything changed when I went with my grandmother to her physical therapy appointment. I saw the amazing things they were doing for her and was even made an honorary junior PT. This is when the dream of mine all started, at 10 years old, and I never looked back. I grew up in Georgia, where I went to the University of Georgia for undergrad (GO DAWGS). I decided to spread my wings and move to North Carolina for PT school! I loved this state so much that I officially moved to Charlotte to begin my new life and career. Outside of work, I love to cook and bake (especially cheesecake), travel and hang out with family and friends.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Kelly Floyd From a young age there have been several things that I have always enjoyed: being active, knowing why, understanding the human body, and enjoying time with others. My affinities for sports, human movement, and personal relationships led me to pursuing a career in physical therapy. Being able to help in the process of finding the “why” of a patient’s problem and helping to correct the issue brings me joy. I truly feel that if I am able to get into the heads and hearts of my patients, I will be able to help them heal. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brian, and our sweet goldendoodle, Bella. Together, we enjoy working in the yard, spending time with family and friends, and staying active. I enjoy playing tennis and golf, snow skiing, and traveling (the beach is where I hit my reset button!). My team is the Heels…there’s no doubt that I’m Tarheel born and Tarheel bred!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Ava Keith With her background in ballet and musical theatre, Ava had originally hoped to pursue a performance career on Broadway. However, while rehabbing from many of her own injuries she was exposed to a new passion—physical therapy. She was amazed by the combination of compassion, critical thinking, and expertise in biomechanics and human anatomy that her physical therapists utilized to help her return to dance and decided that this was the best career path for her. To reach her goals, sheearned her B.S. in Exercise Science at Georgia State before completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Mercer University. She currently focuses on orthopedic conditions and women’s health, and welcomes any dancers to her caseload. Her history as both a patient and a physical therapist has given her a unique understanding of both sides of the patient-therapist relationship. Her experiences have taught her that: (1) The patient always comes first; (2) Collaboration with her patients is vital to successful outcomes; and (3) The human body is highly resilient and possesses an innate ability to heal—with a little guidance from a physical therapist, of course! Ava moved from Atlanta to Charlotte in June of 2021 with her husband, Daniel, and their cat, Yoshimi. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, hiking, and occasionally taking a ballet class.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Bella I was born on December 25, 2015, so from the very start my mom considered me a gift to the world! As a Southern girl from Alabama, I was happy to meet my mommy who is also a Southern girl. She talked with me about helping people, and because I love humans, I was thrilled to be a therapy dog at a physical therapy office. I love to see the smiles on people’s faces when they see me, enjoy the treats they bring to me, and hope that each day I can make someone’s day a little better. Having had hip surgery at almost nine months old, I learned the value of physical therapy. When I’m not at work, I like to play fetch (especially with my Glow Ball), take walks, play with friends, take naps, eat treats, swim, chase bumble bees, and snuggle. I’m a happy girl and haven’t met a creature that I don’t like! My favorite place in the whole wide world is to be is nuzzled in for the night between my mommy and daddy.</image:caption>
